Biography

am Michena Henderson, but I also go by Mickey. I am excited and ready to assist you in your journey to improve your wellness. My desire is to provide a safe, supportive, and compassionate space for you to discuss the stressors and difficulties that are impacting your health. I believe that collaborative partnerships are essential when working with clients. I love working in partnership with clients and ensure that their needs are met and addressed adequately, allowing them to feel they are progressing rather than regressing during our work together.

Experience

I create an empathetic and non-judgmental space, allowing clients to become aware of the triggers and symptoms impacting their mental health. I utilize many different modalities to treat the clients I serve, as I understand that each client is unique and that not every modality will work for all. I implement modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed practices, person-centered approaches, narrative therapy, art therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

Education

I attended Southern New Hampshire University, where I received my Bachelor\'s of Arts in Human Services in 2019. After completing my undergraduate degree, I attended Capella University, where I earned my Master\'s in Social Work in 2023.
