Jillian McCoy
Biography
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I came to this profession as a second career and was motivated by a drive to be of service to others. I have always had an earnest motivation to help make the world a better place and I see therapy as one small way to support personal and ultimately social change, one relationship at a time. I am rooted in my work as a trauma-therapist - previously providing care to survivors of interpersonal violence at UCSF. That work shapes my private practice in how I hold deep compassion for each person’s unique journey toward healing and growth. While our struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming and insurmountable, each of us is so much more than our worst moments, greatest adversities, flaws, or mistakes. Helping people find and ground in their fullest selves fuels my hope and motivation.
