Biography
Dr. Edden Agonafer is the founder of Aid in Healing Wellness and Psychological Services, a private practice providing comprehensive psychological services across California. She is also a professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at the University of Southern California (USC), where she is dedicated to training the next generation of culturally responsive mental health professionals. Dr. Agonafer previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at USC’s Keck School of Medicine. She also held the role of Multicultural Coordinator at USC’s Counseling and Mental Health Services, where she led initiatives focused on equity, inclusion, and culturally informed care. Her work integrates clinical expertise, teaching, and a deep commitment to wellness, healing, and mental health access for diverse communities.
Experience
Dr. Agonafer is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in school-based counseling, community mental health, multidisciplinary healthcare systems, and higher education settings. She specializes in helping individuals recover from trauma, chronic stress, depression, and anxiety, as well as navigating perfectionism and burnout. Her work also explores how systemic factors impact mental health, promotes holistic wellness, and integrates religion and psychology to support overall well-being.
